Company History
TASTE Specialty Foods opened in 2006 and is based in Las Vegas, Nevada.  Originally working with fine dining establishments up and down the “Strip” the company quickly expanded and today has a portfolio of over 400 products. Working with both Foodservice and Retail stores, the company has seen its growth and expansion based on reputation, food quality and value. 

Over time the company launched its TASTE Specialty Foods label and has seen this brand grow and diversify with restaurants, chefs and everyday shoppers.   TASTE is a subsidiary of TASTE Operating Inc. and is privately held. 

Management
Our management team has over 20 years of sales, product development, retail and culinary expertise.  In addition to the extensive knowledge of the products we represent, our experience in preparing foods enables us to offer specialty items from a Chef’s point of view. 

The company founder is John Polhemus who serves as its current President.  Mr. Polhemus has a Bachelor of Science in Hotel Administration from University of Nevada Las Vegas and an MBA in Marketing. 

Operations & Quality Control
Our warehouse and office space is located just minutes from Las Vegas Boulevard.  It offers both dry and cold storage options and is licensed by the Clark County Health District.  We deliver locally throughout Las Vegas and can accommodate both refrigerated and dry items.  The company is open Monday thru Saturday PST and closed for all major holidays.  As our TASTE Specialty Foods brand continues to grow, we offer air and ground freight for our retail clients outside of Nevada.

Our food sourcing strategy has always revolved around partnerships driven by food quality, consistency and value.  These partners are all legitimate industry leaders in their own fields; ensuring we offer the best possible product in an ever changing environment.  TASTE Specialty Foods has been certified by the NOAA Seafood Inspection Program and is licensed by the Clark County Health District.

Supplier and Vendor Inquiries - Our product development team meets monthly and will be in touch should the company have an interest in marketing your products.  TASTE prefers creating solid supplier / distributor partnerships ensuring long-term growth and market development.
